Privacy

ByteCleaner is designed not to collect personal data. This page states plainly what data exists and where it stays.

The app

• No account. You do not need to register or sign in to use ByteCleaner.
• Scan results stay on your Mac. Discovered file paths, sizes and cleanup history are stored locally and are never sent to a server.
• File contents are not read. The app only uses file system metadata: path, size and last modified date.
• No analytics or tracking. There is no third party analytics, advertising or user tracking inside the app.

Purchases

Pro is purchased through the Apple Mac App Store. Your payment details never reach us; the transaction is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple’s privacy policy. The app only verifies whether the purchase is valid, through Apple’s StoreKit.

The website

• bytecleaner.app is a static marketing site; no cookies are required to visit it.
• Server access logs (IP address, browser information, request time) are kept briefly by the hosting provider for security and debugging.
• You are never asked to submit data through a form on this site.

When you write to us

If you email support, we keep the correspondence only to resolve your issue. We do not share it with third parties and do not use it for marketing.

Your rights

If you would like an email exchange deleted, writing to support@bytecleaner.app is enough.
